Caerphilly for today

Busy with half term activities this week. Today I was working with Caerphilly's Basement Team up in Penryhoel. Got over 25 boards painted with the young people for them to take home.....

Mileage

Been all over the last few weeks having a great time. Here's a selection of a few of the places I visited and the people I worked with.....

First up are some finished photos from Cymer Afan Comprehensive up in Port Talbot. We got both the walls painted over 2 x 2hr sessions (with about 6hrs prep / finishing off by me)...

Then it's down to Ammanford where I worked with the guys from the Smart Project to design and paint some boards to brighten up their building. Unfortunately I got too involved with the painting and didn't get any finished shots, but am expecting some in the mail.

Then to Cwmafan to continue work in their boxing gym, home to the 'Cwmafan Hornets'.

Then up to Pontypridd High School for some work with some Pupils on the  E3+ programme. We're working on redecorating their kick walls and the young people came up with the ideas of a Bulldog / Dinosaur / Bgirl concept. Should get it finished off after half term.

Then finally a sketch for tomorrow's project up at Eastern Avenue Leisure Centre, should have finished photos of the wall up next week...

Newport and Cymmer

Today's adventures started up in Newport at St Julians Comprehensive School. Working with the pupils we came up with a "Don't text and drive" board as part of their Arson Rap Project.....

Then it was across to Cymmer near Port Talbot to work with the youth club giving the wall outside of the centre a blast of colour. Flood lights were needed for this visit, finished photos to follow next week...

Also squeezed in a quick meeting about a rad new project, but I'm keeping that on the down low till it's confirmed... Fingers crossed.......

Pontypridd High School and Cymmer Youth Centre

A couple of jobs from the last 24hrs. First off was todays trip to Pontypridd High School where we spent our time creating canvases.

And next, a teaser from yesterdays trip to Cymmer Youth Centre. It's not often I remember to get a photo at the start of the painting. We should have it completed by the end of next week....

Last couple of weeks

First off is a project we started tonight down at the Cwmafan Hornet's Boxing Gym tonight. Only 2 hours into the project and we've got a lot done!

I had a trip down to Cowbridge last week to work with the young people at their youth club. Another 2 hour transformation!

Ysgol Hendre

Had a great couple of days down at Ysgol Hendre in Bryncoch. Ysgol Hendre is a special school for the 21st Century, which serves the needs of secondary aged pupils with learning difficulties in Neath Port Talbot. The school also has a regional centre for Deafblind children and young people with multisensory impairment aged between 2 and 19 from across South and West Wales.

The pupils were keen to give their pool room a bit of a makeover, we painted the design below today and painted the wall opposite last week, but I haven't got any good shots of it yet! The wall below took 3hrs to complete.
